Rebuild Confidence and Independence After Vision Loss

When vision changes, everyday travel can start to feel uncertain. Training is practical, personal, and built around the places that matter in your daily life — the driveway, the mailbox, stairs, sidewalks, appointments, stores, and neighborhood walks.

How We Help

Practical Training, Built Around Your Life

Cane Skills for New or Changing Vision Loss

Whether you are learning to use a cane for the first time or need a refresher, we start at your pace. You will learn to use the cane to notice changes in the ground, gather information, and move with more confidence instead of relying on guesswork.

Curbs, Stairs & Uneven Surfaces

Steps, curbs, driveways, grass edges, sidewalk cracks, and uneven surfaces can feel stressful when vision is limited. We practice real-life strategies so you can recognize these changes more safely and know what to do before you are right on top of them.

Confidence & Independence

Vision loss can affect more than travel — it can affect confidence, routines, and the willingness to go places. Mobility training helps you rebuild trust in your own movement so daily life feels less limited.

Family & Caregiver Guidance

Family members and caregivers can also learn how to offer support safely and respectfully — sighted guide techniques, ways to assist without taking over, and practical ideas for encouraging independence.

RTD Access-A-Ride Support

Transportation paperwork can feel overwhelming. Support is available for the RTD Access-A-Ride application process, including completing the medical verification portion when appropriate, for better access to transportation in the community.

By far the best mobility teacher around. Charlotte is a kind soul and great to work with.
